Duane LeBlanc started his karate training at the YMCA in 1982 at 9 years old. He went on to receive his black belt in Kempo karate at the age of 16 and later would earn his 2nd Dan. Over the years he has trained in karate (Kempo and Shotokan), Tae Kwon Do and kickboxing.

In 1996 he was a member of Team Canada at the World Karate Championships in Hamilton, Ontario as well as regional and national tournaments most recently.

In 2012 he joined the IKD family with his wife and daughter, he is very proud that they all continued  on the journey and received their black belts.  His favorite quote is "the family that kicks together, sticks together".
